One of the first cities of Georgia, carved into the rock is Uplistsikhe. The city emerged in the late II - early I millennium BC. E., is a multilayer archaeological site, one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture. The uniqueness of the monument lies in the fact that, thanks to its structure, it retains the remains of architectural and religious buildings built over several millennia. Day 4. Borjomi-Akhaltsikhe

Breakfast. I do not have to miss Borjomi. There are historical monuments, such as the Palace of the Romanovs of the XVIII century, the House of Mirza-Riza-Khan of the XIX century. The monastery of St. Spiridon of the Trimifunt X century is very popular. The church of St. George, located in a small village near Borjomi - Daba, is also very popular. It was built in 1333, or rather, carved into the rock. Annually August 28, the Temple of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary In Timotesubani (XII century) becomes a place of pilgrimage for Christian believers. It should be noted that in Borjomi and its environs there are about two hundred historical monuments of the late Middle Ages. On the river Mtkvari (Kura) you can go rafting.
