Sairme
The climatic and balneological resort Sairme is located 55 kilometers from Kutaisi (Imereti region). It is located at an altitude of about 950 meters above sea level, at the confluence of several mountain rivers.

In Georgian, "sairme" means "deer's place". This name was given to the city, since here in the winter the herds of deer descended on the watering hole.

The resort is buried in coniferous and deciduous forests, and differs in a mountain climate. It is rich in therapeutic, mineral and thermal waters of four species, used for the treatment of digestive diseases, metabolic disorders.

Under royal authority, Sairme belonged to the family of Eristavi. Then the natural riches of the resort were not used for their intended purpose. In 1932, when the healing properties of the local mineral waters were fully studied, the doctors recognized the Sairme as a urological resort.

Tskhaltubo

The spa resort of Tskhaltubo was known as far back as the 7th-9th centuries, and from the 12th-13th centuries it was already very popular as a curative one.

To date, Tskhaltubo is a balneological resort of world importance. He is famous for his thermo-radon mineral water procedures. Warm (35 degrees), light, clean and non-smelling water flows directly from the sources into the baths, without heating and cooling.

Tskaltubo is 7 km from Kutaisi, at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level.

The water in Tskaltubo is unique in its physical and chemical properties. It treats limb diseases, peripheral nervous system, metabolic disorders, endocrinological, gynecological and skin diseases.

At one time the leader of the Soviet people, Joseph Stalin, periodically visited Tskaltubo for treatment and recreation.

Today, the resort area is being updated. The project, which is designed for several years, provides for the restoration of thermal baths, the rehabilitation of hotels on the balance of the state, the construction of new hotels equipped with modern technology and medical equipment.

On the site will develop medical and spa tourism, build children's entertainment centers and water attractions, create shopping centers, restaurants and tropical gardens.

Borjomi

The city of Borjomi is the birthplace of the famous Georgian mineral water, which has gained worldwide fame due to healing properties. Mineral springs are more than a thousand years old. This is evidenced by the found in the beginning of the twentieth century, seven stone baths dating from the beginning of the first millennium AD.

This picturesque land is located in the gorge of the majestic Caucasus Mountains and coniferous forests in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level.

Mineral water Borjomi is treated with the digestive system, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, bile ducts, kidneys and much more.

The second life was given to mineral springs in 1829 thanks to the soldiers of the Kherson Grenadier Regiment, who found a spring in the forest on the right bank of the river Borjomi. Already in 1850, the first mineral water park was broken there, and in 1854 the construction of the first bottling plant began.

Nunisi

This small balneological resort is located in Kharagauli district (Imereti region), surrounded on all sides by forest. Coniferous and deciduous trees, which are at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, create a unique microclimate here, and the mineral healing water makes this place truly magical.

The waters of the resort of Nunisi, which have no analogue in the whole world, are distinguished by a high alkaline reaction, through which an effective treatment of a variety of diseases is possible. When tested in water, potassium, iodine, manganese, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen, methane and other substances were found.

In Nunisi they treat for such diseases as psoriasis, eczema, neurodermatitis, dermatitis, chronic urticaria, allergies. Water Nunisi is effective and as a cosmetic, as it improves the quality of the skin and hair.

There are many legends about when and how to discover the healing properties of the water in Nunisi. One of the legends says that it was discovered by King David the Builder himself (1089-1125). When the king returned from battle with his army, his wounded, tired horses plunged into the waters of Nunisi with ulcers. After drinking the water, they revived, and their skin was almost completely cleansed.

In Nunisi there is a church of the XII century, which, according to local residents, was built by the order of David the Builder, as a token of gratitude to these places and healing water.

Utsera

The mountain balneoclimatic resort of Utsera is located 15 kilometers from the town of Oni (Racha region), at an altitude of over 1,1 thousand meters above sea level. The resort of Utsera is surrounded by coniferous and mixed forests, which gives the air health benefits.

In the village of Utsera, natural mineral springs come to the surface of the earth, 28 types of water. These waters are used for both internal use and for baths.

Racha is one of the best from the ecological point of view of the regions of Georgia, which has great prospects for the development of ecotourism.

The name of Utsera village is associated with the name of the great Georgian queen Tamara. Having once visited this part of Georgia with her retinue, she exclaimed: "What beauty is indescribable here!". As a result, the word "augcereli" (indescribable - in Russian) with phonetic changes was assigned to this place.

Nabeglavi

The resort is famous for its unique mineral springs, which, in terms of medicinal properties, are not inferior to the famous mineral water "Borjomi". The resort is located in the Chokhataur district (Guria region), on the banks of the Gubaseuli river, at an altitude of almost half a kilometer above sea level.

The history of the water "Nabeglavi" dates back more than a century - in 1905 the first source was found in these places. According to legend, buffaloes were gathered at the source, which attracted the attention of the local population. It turned out that the water was not only delicious, but also useful.

The first research of the mineral water deposit was conducted in 1921 by a scientist from Latvia Robert Kuptsis.

Industrial bottling "Nabeglavi" began in 1958, at the same time in the village of the same name they founded a balneological resort.

A new stage in the history of the development of a local mineral water plant began in 1998, when productivity and product quality increased.

"Nabeglavi" refers to carbonated hydrocarbonate mineral waters with a high content of sodium salts. The increased content of the magnesium ion of water has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular and nervous systems. A smaller amount of chlorine significantly increases the therapeutic effect of water, and an increased amount of sulfate is important in the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Surami

This is a medical resort, and an urban village. It is known for its healing climate and historical events.

Balneotherapeutic climatic low-mountain resort of the forest subtropical zone is located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level in the Khashur region (Shida Kartli region).

The main curative remedies at the resort are mineral weak hydrogen sulfide waters, which are used for baths with diseases of the joints and spine, peripheral and central nervous system.

Scientists believe that the moderate-continental climate in Surami makes the air curative, contributing to the treatment of bronchopulmonary system of non-tubercular origin, including bronchial asthma.

Suram Fortress is the main attraction of the region, which is located near the town. In 1984, Sergei Paradzhanov staged the film "The Legend of the Surami Fortress."
